My grandson is doing wonderfully and exclusively breastfeeding now. They had a few birth complications (and poor hospital information) that delayed things and he lost 11% the first few days. Fortunately, a Hygeia pump was available for her to use at home. It worked great and because of it she was able to supplement with her milk and it was only a couple of days to exclusively being at the breast. He is back to birth weight at two weeks. Thanks!
Overall I was blown away by this product. I have been telling complete strangers who see me pump about it! I love the fact that it is safe to use by multiple mothers with out cross-contamination. It is gentle on my breast and it is always effective in starting the let down process!

For many breastfeeding families, bottles are a regular part of their feeding routine. Whether the mother has returned to work, other caregivers are participating in the feeding, or the baby has challenges that make feeding directly at the breast difficult, being aware of how to feed an infant from a bottle is an important skill. I was her…that mom that had to pump for days just to have enough milk to go out with my husband to a movie. The one who could sit for 45 minutes and get just barely enough to cover the bottom of the container attached to my pump. If I was working, I just couldn’t [...]
As we work with moms to try to navigate the insurance process to get a breast pump, one question comes up over and over.
